Switzerland Zoros Celebrate Jamshedi Navroz!

The Zoroastrians of Switzerland met for an early Navroz celebration, on 19th March, 2023, in Geneva. The get-together was held at the Iranian restaurant, ‘Hafez’, where the young and old of the community got together to bring in and celebrate the Season of Spring.

Amdist all the ‘soo khabars’ and ‘majama cho’, interspersed with smatterings of French and German, the Swiss Bawajis enjoyed a sumptuous delectable Iranian meal comprising Kashq-o-bademjan (braised eggplant with garlic, mint and curd sauce served with Iranian bread with sesame); Dolmeh (stuffed vine leaves with rice chickpeas and herbs served with Iranian bread with sesame); Ghormeh Sabzi (lamb cooked in spinach, coriander, dill and kidney beans, served with rice); Chicken berry pulao with Zereshk berries and Bastani (saffron ice cream) with Dugh.

As appetites were satiated and acquaintances renewed, Nature smiled wide with a beautiful pair of rainbows to commemorate the start of a New Year of happiness and prosperity!
