Mumbai’s iconic and oldest, 107-year-old dairy – Parsi Dairy Farm (PDF), recently got a stunning makeover, keeping up its look with the times, while retaining its secret recipes, which ensures its number one position within the community as well as outside! It’s new interiors and equipment include a toffee dispenser and a yogurt cart.
Founded in 1916, by Nariman Ardeshir, with a single can of milk, today the dairy is an empire no less, with farms in Mazgaon to stables in Andheri-Jogeshwari, its operations carried out across a 300-acre property on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway. The revamped store will continue providing dairy products with a variety of traditional Indian sweets, blended with a contemporary touch.The biggest landmark on Princess Street, PDF’s refurbished avatar has the store divided into Indian sweets, Bengali sweets, a kulfi fridge, daily essentials, a toffee dispenser, a monthly-changing pushcart and a gifting area. There is also a wall featuring its old advertisements, history, and the old packaging. Offering over 30 dairy products and 80 mithais, the newly titivated dairy store is sure to continue drawing in and growing a larger number of sweet-lovers in Mumbai and beyond!
