‘Café Farohar’ started out eight years ago in Udvada, as a dedicated and passionate culinary venture, by the mother-son duo – Hilla and Chef Shezad Marolia, known as much for their authentic, flavourful Parsi fare as their warm hospitality. In keeping with its growing popularity and demand, a new branch of ‘Café Farohar’ was recently inaugurated at the ‘Foodhub’ on the Haloli highway (post Dahisar).
And what an amazing grand opening it turned out to be on 24th May 2024, with the ultimate foodie and much-loved celebrity – Kunal Vijayakar, doing the honours of inaugurating the new outlet, and spending the afternoon savouring the delicacies with much zest. He also provided a lot of positive feedback, greatly commending the food as well as Hilla and Shezad Marolia on their success, amidst much cheer from family, friends and other well-wishers who were present on the happy occasion celebrating the new chapter of ‘Café Farohar’. The menu was specially curated by Chef Shezi for the event, which was immensely appreciated by all.
“Giving back to the community is at the heart of what we do and our new restaurant is a testament of that,” said Shezad Marolia, adding, “Come, visit us and experience the authentic Parsi dining experience – where every meal is a celebration! In addition to running ‘Cafe Farohar’, in Udvada, last year, Hilla and Shezad Marolia launched ‘Udwada Bakers’ (at Daulat House, Iranshah Rd., Udwada) to continue the legacy of Irani Bakery.
