Mumbai-based cosmetic dental surgeon, Dr. Saiesha Mistry was recently conferred the prestigious ‘EVY Award’ of Excellence by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) – an honour regarded as the ‘Oscar’ of the dental profession. This global recognition marks a historic milestone as she becomes the first non-American Asian woman to receive this honour from one of the most respected global cosmetic dentistry bodies.

A trailblazer in her field, Dr. Mistry is the only Indian dentist to graduate from the internationally acclaimed Kois Center in Seattle, USA, known for its advanced restorative and aesthetic dentistry. She was also the first woman in India to be accredited by the AACD in 2018 and now serves on its Board of Directors. Her achievements have made her a sought-after educator, currently serving as the President of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry India (ACDI).

Dr. Mistry’s clinical expertise and academic credentials are matched by her passion for mentoring and education. She holds a Master’s degree in Conservative Dentistry from UCL’s Eastman Dental Hospital in London and has contributed significantly to global dental literature, including authoring a chapter on Smile Design in the widely acclaimed textbook Aesthetics in Dentistry.

In March 2025, she was also featured as an ‘Iconic Woman of India’ and is set to launch a podcast on YouTube to share insights on dental wellness and confidence-building. Dr. Saiesha Mistry follows in the footsteps of her illustrious father and pioneering orthodontist – late Dr. Keki Mistry, honouring his legacy by redefining dental excellence and paving the way for future generations through innovation, integrity and passion.
