Alexandra Girls’ School Hosts Vibrant Art And Library Exhibition

In a celebration of creativity and talent, The Alexandra Girls’ English Institution held its Art, Handwork and Library Exhibition on 30th April, 2025, showcasing an impressive range of artwork and craft by its students, alumni and staff members. Curated by the art teachers and librarian, the exhibition featured a blend of Indian and international inspirations, displaying painting techniques such as stippling, Zentangle, comic script, pictorial art, and agamograph (optical illusions).

Visitors were treated to exquisite embroidery, cross-stitch work, and intricate handcrafts created painstakingly by students. The event also included contributions from ex-students and a few multi-talented teachers. The library department highlighted its diverse book collection alongside projects from the school’s Eco Club. Adding a unique touch were life-like centrepieces created by sub-staff members who worked tirelessly to elevate the presentation. A colourful selfie-corner added charm and fun for attendees.

The exhibition drew large crowds, including parents, the Board of Directors, and principals from other schools. What truly stood out was the courage of young girls who expressed themselves through art – each piece a proud reflection of their inner world.
