Homavazir’s 11^th CBDA Scout Group organised a fun summer camp, from 29^th April – 3^rd May, 2025, at Khandala’s Marazban Sanatorium, with 22 excited scouts and scouters, ready to rake in the excitement, arriving in their smart uniforms at the picturesque campsite, enveloped by lush mountains.

Commencing with the unfurling of the Bharat Scouts and Guides flag and imparting general instructions, the scouts got busy with camp chores by modelling Monkey Bridge, raising patrol flags and camp gadgets, etc. Each day began with energizing exercises, followed by flag hoisting, uniform checks and room inspections – instilling discipline, cleanliness and order. Mornings comprised adrenaline-fueled activities like rope ladder climbing, pioneering, pyramid formations, and commando rappelling, designed to build courage and resilience.

Afternoons shifted focus to practical skills – first aid, rescue drills, stretcher training, knot-tying and map-reading, instilling physical and mental preparedness in the young scouts. Quiz competitions and fun contests sparked creativity and excitement. Evenings brought high-spirited baseball matches, blending fierce competition with camaraderie. Thrilling night games played in complete darkness further toughened spirits and erased fears. The highlight was the final night’s campfire, comprising skits, songs and talented performances.

Each night ended with heartfelt prayers expressing gratitude to Ahura Mazda. Gratitude was extended to sanatorium manager Minoo Tarapore for the warm hospitality and delicious meals. The boys returned with treasured memories, lasting friendships and invaluable life lessons.
