The Indian Association of Secretaries and Administrative Professionals (IASAP) won the prestigious ASA Virginia P. Elbinias Award at the ASA Congress in Sri Lanka, on 28th April, 2025, triumphing in the Best Practice Contest against six Asian nations. Their award-winning initiative focused on empowering underprivileged women through training in cooking, baking, jewellery-making, and beautician skills – perfectly aligned with the contest’s theme, “The Futuristic Woman.”
Key to the win were the efforts of Vijayalaxmi Amin (President, All-India) and others who represented and presented IASAP’s impactful work. With over 74 delegates from six chapters and Mumbai HQ, the Indian contingent was the largest at the congress. This award marks a proud milestone for IASAP, honouring its founder, Homai Mehta’s vision and reaffirming its commitment to professional excellence and women’s empowerment.
