Power-Packed Summer Camp At TMCHS

Twenty-seven excited children, from ages 4 to 14, enjoyed an enlightening and fun summer camp, held at the Tata Mills Co-operative Housing Society (Parel), from 6th to 15th May, 2025. They imbibed the positive power of community, team-building and leadership, thanks to the efforts of enterprising mothers – Farzana Patel, Arnaz Dilawarnijad, Kaizeen Mogal, Nohid Irani, Sneha Panthaki and Delna Mojia, who brought their unique talents and organizational flair, ensuring the children had a thrilling time while learning new skills and valuable life lessons.

From arts and crafts to drama and dance, the camp blended fun with lessons in punctuality, healthy eating, and team spirit. Guided by Monaz Wadia and Thrity Dadabhoy, the kids even embraced a digital detox, ditching gadgets to bond and plan each day’s activities together.

The camp concluded with a delightful showcase by teams named Paints, Scissors, Rulers, and Erasers – each staging a play on ‘A Fairy Tale With a Twist’. Guests of Honour – Pearl Tirandaz, Farah Siganporia, and Thrity Dadabhoy applauded the children’s talent. Pearl Tirandaz praised the kids’ confidence and the mothers’ exceptional efforts in organizing the program, adding, “It is heartwarming to see the community come together to support and nurture the talents of our young ones. Kudos to the mothers and the heads of the colony for making it a success.”

The Managing Committee and Sports Club played a vital role behind the scenes, providing essential support and infrastructure. Chairman Sam Irani noted, “We’re proud to back events that build community and nurture our children.” Summing up the spirit of the camp, organizer Farzana Patel said, “We wanted to encourage teamwork, togetherness and healthy competition – and this camp did just that!”
