The Mindset Of Our Reality

There is a purpose and a reason why all things are the way they are. People don’t just walk into your life, they were chosen. Your life thrives on the version of reality you choose to see, feel and experience. The struggles, the challenges, the simple tedious tasks of everyday living, matters and weaves a life path inextricably woven into the fabric of your life. Stop and take a moment to see where you are in life, where you feel a little stuck, see what really matters to make that shift. What story do you tell yourself that keeps you from moving ahead? We can remain where we are or we can convince ourselves to better our current position.

Life is like seasons, there will be winters and summers and droughts and rain. There is handbook or manual to guide you at every step. Between birth and death, we have the opportunity to paint our life with all the vivid colours of the rainbow or sketch it in gloomy greys. We carry burdens, we have responsibilities, we have families and jobs, friends and foes. We have places to see and dreams to fulfill, we can have needs and wants, worries and fears. But in the end, much of our journeys are forged and followed by steps and rhythms we create for ourselves.

Are you sick? Are you in pain? Are you riddled with chronic illness or toxic people around? Do you spread yourself too thin or not at all? For in the end, no matter your burdens or cross in life, the journey is yours to enjoy or bear. The biggest truth about life is its uncertainty. Remember that you best serve life and the universe by doing what you love. Every day matters, every moment you live, you shine as a speck in this vast space.

Oftentimes, the world around you may seem a bit crazy, people around may seem impossible or simply stupid. The world spins on its own axis, at its own speed. Similarly, we should create ours. A book of rules or a set of principles to align ourselves with our own belief systems, even if it causes a bit of discord and chaos around. Listen to the brag of your own heart, which often echoes, ‘I am, I am and so I am’.

Don’t call the world unfair if you lack skill or talent, don’t accuse the creator for your lack of trying. Intellect is hardly inherited. Generosity does not prevail where scarcity dwells. Even beauty is often an enormous, unmerited gift given randomly. We are given choices, we are given the sense… the rest really depends on where you choose to find yourself and definitely where you choose to forget yourself too. There is a certain wildness in just letting things be, but there is bravado and pride in choosing to look ahead. Life is nothing but a shambled confusion of broken pieces shattered and spent, only to be rearranged in the right order to finally view the bigger picture. That is generally what is called hindsight, but the unfortunate truth is, it takes us a lifetime to figure it out as we are so lost in our longing just to understand that!

We often rife through life and the pages of old books, we go through the dark to stumble into the light, to finally make some sense of the life we live. We could be analytical or emotional, spiritual or religious, hardworking or plain lazy. We become ourselves gradually, shedding bit by bit that fictitious self we once donned like a garment, chosen to present a curated image to the world.

We can choose to ignore the truth even though it’s staring us in the face, we can tumble down rabbit holes to find out what’s right and what isn’t. We can make the complex simple, or the simple as complex as we choose. We can merit the unimportant as being significant and yet not recognize the importance of things. Life is a gift, so unwrap yours gratefully to discover the beauty within!
