There was laughter, learning and lively experiences galore for over 40 children, aged 4 to 16, at this vibrant three-day camp, organized by the spirited team of the Zoroastrian Women’s Assembly of Surat (ZWAS). Seamlessly blending faith, fun and creativity, the camp kicked off with enriching religious sessions led by Founder Member – Maharukh Chichgar, who deepened the children’s understanding of their Zoroastrian heritage.
Thereon, the energy soared with an exciting variety of programs designed to educate and entertain with games, group activities and engaging workshops. A highlight was the field trip to the Sosyo Factory, followed by a visit to the Hajoori Ice Cream and Kulfi factory. The day ended on a sweet note with a delicious kulfi tasting session that delighted every young camper.
Back at camp, artistic talents bloomed in a craft session by Shiraz Gandhi, while dance sessions with Mahazarine Variava had everyone grooving in rhythm. The excitement built up to a grand finale featuring skits, songs and speeches. Shanaira Variava, Aazmine Besania and Derrick Patel emceed the event with flair, setting the stage for memorable performances. ZWAS extends gratitude to Freny and Nozer Daruwala for the feast, Jamshed Dotiwala and family for food packets, and Merzad and Monaz Jamadar for their generous support. Special appreciation also extended to Kainaz Variava for witty lyrics to hilarious Parsi songs, Perin Karanjia for guiding children in skits and speeches and Vahishta Engineer for teaching tasty Sev Puri and Surti Bhel. Kudos to the dynamic ZWAS members for making this camp a resounding success!
