Regent University’s Professor Dr. Zubin Sethna has been appointed to the Advisory Board of the UK’s All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Entrepreneurship. The APPG, which unites MPs and Lords across party lines, champions research and policy recommendations to strengthen Britain’s start-up and scale-up ecosystem.

Bringing over three decades of commercial practice, including founding six ventures and 26 years of higher-education leadership, Professor Sethna combines Chartered Marketer and Chartered Manager credentials with deep academic insight. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sethna remarked, “Having walked the journey as both entrepreneur and educator, I know how crucial well-crafted policy is to start-ups and scale-ups alike. I am honoured to support parliamentarians in shaping evidence-based recommendations that help UK enterprise thrive – particularly at a time when innovation and inclusive growth are national priorities.”

Alongside his new parliamentary role, Professor Sethna continues extensive media commentary and international partnerships, reflecting the global reach and practical relevance of Regent’s academic community.

Professor (Dr.) Zubin Sethna is Professor of Entrepreneurial Marketing and Consumer Behaviour at Regent’s University, where he heads the MSc Marketing Psychology and MA Enterprise postgraduate programmes. A University of Stirling PhD graduate, he formerly served as Associate Professor of Marketing, managing a £15 million portfolio and 1,500 postgraduate students, and taught Innovation and Entrepreneurship on an AMBA-accredited MBA.

A seasoned entrepreneur, he has launched six ventures – one honored with a UK National Award – and, as Managing Consultant at Baresman Consulting, has delivered integrated marketing strategy, communications, and training across diverse sectors worldwide. His co-authored text, ‘Entrepreneurial Marketing: Global Perspectives’ (2013), is celebrated as the seminal work in its discipline.
