Steel Man of India, Vispy Kharadi, has once again raised the community’s and the nation’s pride, securing his 17th Guinness World Record, at the iconic Attari-Wagah Border, on 17th August, 2025. Before a roaring crowd of 22,000, in the presence of senior Army and BSF officials, he lifted 261 kg in each hand and held the Hercules Pillar for an astounding 80 seconds. Dedicated to the Army, BSF and the heroes of Dograi, the feat was a stirring salute to India’s strength and sacrifice.

This milestone follows his 16th Guinness World Record in Italy earlier this year, where Vidpy Kharadi sustained a jaw-dropping 1,819 kilograms on his body, cementing his stature as one of the world’s strongest men.

Based in Surat, Kharadi is celebrated as India’s leading martial artist and strength athlete. His relentless discipline, unmatched resilience and years of training have made him an icon of fitness. Honoured as ambassador of the Fit India Movement, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he also trains the Indian Police, BSF and Army in combat and self-defence. A passionate advocate of women’s empowerment, he has trained over one million women gratis, in self-defence across the country.

Vispy Kharadi’s 17th Guinness World Record stands as a towering symbol of India’s unbreakable spirit, igniting inspiration for millions to embrace fitness, discipline and self-belief. For the Parsi community, his achievement is a moment of immense pride – an extraordinary son etching yet another golden chapter in the nation’s legacy of strength and glory.
