The World Zarathushti Chamber of Commerce (WZCC) Mumbai Chapter hosted an energising blend of business, finance and networking session on 2^nd August, 2025, with over 75 members attending a dynamic panel discussion on ‘Startup to Scale Up – Strategies for Growth’. Chairperson Daara B. Patel welcomed the gathering, sharing WZCC’s milestones and announcing the upcoming Silver Jubilee celebrations in December 2025. India Chapter Chairperson Zerick Dastur highlighted the Internship and Mentorship programme fostering opportunities for the youth.

The evening began with a touching felicitation for Viraf Kekobad, who personally evacuated nearly 700 refugees from Kuwait during the 1990 war. Master of Ceremonies, Zenobia Kaikobad then introduced Chief Guest Kairus Dadachanji, Chairman of Dadachanji Group, who delivered an inspiring keynote, tracing his three-decade entrepreneurial journey. His mantra: dream big, have a clear vision, secure the right support, and surround yourself with people of integrity. His address was greatly appreciated and applauded by all.

An engaging panel discussion followed, featuring Delna Avari – Founder, Delna Avari Consultants; Burzin Dubash – COO, Ankur Capital; and Arpit Jain – VP, Avendus Capital, and moderated by Havovi Patel. Their insights covered the essentials of scaling – identifying a scalable market, securing funding, building capable teams and maintaining disciplined governance. Caution was urged against premature scaling and over-diversification. The evening concluded with committee member felicitations, announcements and a vote of thanks.
