Glorious Salgrehs, Glowing Community

Dear Readers,

Despite the gloomy weather, our community has much reason to rejoice as we celebrate the salgrehs of several iconic places of worship, which keep the sacred flame of our faith ablaze. While Pune’s famous Komda-Ni-Agiary celebrated its 130th salgreh, the venerated Anjuman Atash Behram marked its 128th glorious year and Hyderabad’s Chenoy Agiary entered its 121st year of service… to name a few. Each of these milestones, more than being commemorations, stands as enduring proof of the devotion and generosity of our visionary forefathers.

When community members come together on these occasions, we collectively share the joy and sense of unity. These anniversaries stand as a testament to the remarkable foresight of our visionary ancestors. They envisioned these places not simply as sites of worship, but as enduring sanctuaries of the spirit, offering guidance, inspiration and protection for us and the oncoming generations… where divine prayers and holy fires still resonate, offering us strength and solace in today’s high-stress, fast-paced world.

The least we can do to honour that legacy is visit these Agiaries and Atashbehrams regularly, and stay connected with the divinely-charged atmosphere, which will also ensure their sustenance. Let’s make these salgrehs more than dates on a calendar. Think of them as perfect opportunities to step out, meet friendly faces, share a smile alongside some chasni, and remind ourselves that our strength lies in showing up together. May these celebrations continue to spark unity, hope and a renewed commitment to keep our small but spirited community glowing brightly into the future.

Have a lovely weekend!
