Bhikha Behram Well Marks 193rd Humbandagi Celebration

The 193rd Humbandagi was observed on Ava Roj, 23rd October, 2025, at the sacred Bhikha Behram Well. The evening commenced with a Jashan ceremony at 4:30 pm, followed by the Humbandagi at 5:30 pm. A special talk by Zoroastrian scholar and community leader, Noshir Dadrawala, added spiritual depth to the gathering, which also marked the 16th anniversary of this cherished tradition.

Initiated 16 years ago by Hoshang Gotla and Perzon Zend, this monthly event has continued with remarkable consistency, pausing only briefly during the pandemic. Their dedication has kept alive a meaningful practice that brings the community together in prayer, reflection and unity.

As devotees gathered under the tranquil setting of the Bhikha Behram Well, the event stood as a testament to enduring faith and the timeless bond of shared spirituality. The Humbandagi on Ava Roj serves as a reminder of the rich tapestry of tradition and faith that has been woven across centuries, and the duty to preserve and pass it forward to oncoming generations.
