TT Tourney Makes A Comeback At Cusrow Baug

After an eight-year break, the Cusrow Baug Table Tennis Tournament recently made a spirited comeback, organized by the Cusrow Baug United Sports & Welfare League (CBUSWL), and featuring over 60 participants ranging from 8 to 70 years. Chief Guests – Frenaz Chipia and Zubin Taraporewalla, both celebrated sportspersons, added inspiration to the occasion. Guest of Honour, Dr. Tushna Unvala, praised CBUSWL’s initiative in reviving the tournament and encouraging fitness, camaraderie and sportsmanship within the community through meaningful sporting events.

Some of the leading match results included: Veteran’s Trophy & Player of the Tournament (Mens) – Behzaad Patel; Women’s Champion – Shernaz Dadachanji; Men’s Champion – Khushru Pardiwalla; Player of the Tournament (Womens) – Kyzeen Shroff; Under-18 Player of the Tournament – Mikhail Marshall; and Fair Play Award – Rohinton Irani

The Cusrow Baug United Sports & Welfare League thanked Zubin Wadia and Zubin Jaorewalla for organizing the tournament, and all players, volunteers, and supporters for its success. The event’s revival rekindled sporting enthusiasm in the colony, highlighting the power of community initiatives in fostering talent, unity and collective spirit.
