21-year-old Nasha Elavia delivered an outstanding performance at Ironman 70.3 Goa, finishing 5th in his age group, 44th in the men’s division and 55th overall, among 1,300 athletes, who were participating from 31 countries.
What makes his achievement more inspiring is he was able to achieve this feat despite suffering a major ACL tear in January 2025. Refusing to slow down, he rebuilt his strength through six months of focused, high-performance training while completing the final year of his Aerospace Engineering studies, at Uttaranchal University.
Ironman 70.3 is among India’s toughest endurance events, with a 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike ride and 21.1 km run under the harsh Goan heat. Nasha credits his success to his coach – Nihal Baug, Physio – Dr. Karishma Sanghvi and his parents for their unwavering support and faith in him.
