TaronishStrikes Gold In IIT Bombay Half Marathon

29-year-old athlete Taronish Irani delivered a stellar performance at the IIT Bombay Half Marathon 2025, securing first place in the 10 km race from a field of 1,483 runners. He completed the course in an impressive 37 minutes and 45 seconds, marking a major milestone in his sporting journey. Having recently overcame a foot injury, under the guidance of Dr.DinshawPardiwala, Taronishshared that this win reflects years of effort, challenges and confidence in his ability to return stronger.

Born and raised in Muscat, Oman, Taronish was a competitive swimmer from the age of three and placed fifth at the CBSE National Swimming Championships in 2013. When the pandemic led to the closure of swimming pools in 2020, he shifted his focus to long-distance running. This new pursuit led to consistent accomplishments, beginning with the Muscat Marathon.Admired for his dedication and humility, Taronish continues to inspire young athletes in the community, reinforcing that commitment and resilience can pave the way to excellence.
