Parsee Gymkhana (PG) continued their golden run by lifting the prestigious Purshottam Shield with a commanding four-wicket victory over Victory Cricket Club, at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, on 21^st December, 2025. Coming close on the heels of their celebrated triumph in the 1886 Trophy, this latest win has further reinforced PG’s reputation as one of the most formidable and consistent cricketing institutions.

After winning the toss, PG elected to field. Victory Cricket Club posted a strong 306 for 6, in 45 overs, led by Suryansh Shedge’s explosive 97, with solid contributions from Manan Bhatt and Suved Parkar. PG’s disciplined bowling, backed by sharp fielding, ensured the target, though challenging, was achievable.

The chase showcased PG’s hallmark composure under pressure. Openers Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Vedant Murkar laid a steady foundation before young stars Jay Jain and Harsh Aghav took control with a match-defining 118-run partnership, steering PG past the finish line, at 308 for 6, in just 43.1 overs, completing another successful 300-plus chase, after a similar feat in the semifinals.
