Renowned Monajat singer, Naynaz Jamadar Munsaf has released a new Parsi Monajat (devotional song), ‘O Dadgar O Davar’, which has drawn an enthusiastic response from the community, crossing over 5,500 views within just two days of its release, and continues to receive heartfelt messages and praise from Parsis worldwide.

Speaking to Parsi Times, Naynaz shared that the Monajat represents an effort to revive a cultural and spiritual inheritance that is gradually fading. She believes that while younger generations are deeply familiar with popular music, many are growing distant from prayers that once formed the rhythm of everyday Parsi life. Through her voice, she hopes to make Monajats accessible, emotionally engaging and relevant again, allowing these to be felt as living prayers rather than distant rituals.

‘O Dadgar O Davar’ was created in collaboration with singer and music composer Kaizad Patel, who played a key role in shaping the composition. Its release follows a series of acclaimed works by Naynaz including ‘Aap Padharo Wahlao’ (August 2025), a moving Muktad tribute to her late father, which crossed 10,000 views within just 24 hours, as also ‘Khudavind Khavind’ (2023) which won her the Best Singer award at the Evergreen Music Awards.
