Surat’s Sir JJ Primary School Shines At Rangotsav

Surat’s Sir J J Primary School has earned national acclaim by securing top honours at the Rangotsav Celebrations 2025–26, reaffirming its strong focus on nurturing young artistic talent and creative education, having consistently participated in Rangotsav for the past five years.

Nearly 1,073 students participated in a wide range of creative contests, including colouring, sketching, caricature, greeting card design, cartooning, collage work, finger and thumb painting and handwriting. Of these, 287 students were selected at the national level, reflecting the depth of talent encouraged by the school. Standing out among them was Naira Shaikh of Standard 1A, who secured first place nationally. Fifty of the selected students will now represent the school at the international level this month.

The achievement was guided by the school’s management led by Dr. Homi Doodhwala, President of the Surat Parsi Panchayat, Principal Jamasp Patrawala, and dedicated art teachers – Daizy Patel and Daizy Elavia. With students and staff energised by this success, Sir JJ Primary School now looks ahead with confidence as its young artists prepare to shine on the global stage.
