On 1st January, 2026 (Behram Roj), members of WZO (India) embarked on a well-planned, two-day pilgrimage to all eight Atash Behrams, via a luxury Benz coach (Zubin’s Fleet). The journey was complemented by generous hospitality, featuring seafood, biryani and a variety of delicacies, along with an overnight stay in comfortable surroundings at WZO’s Bharda House. The highly subsidised initiative, offered at a nominal ₹2,000, was made possible through the support of community stalwart – Nozer Meherji, President of WZO (India), its Board members, and Manchersha Daruwalla of Bharda House, who ensured the group’s comfort.
Participants described the pilgrimage as the ideal way to welcome the New Year, sharing that the journey was spiritually uplifting and expressing gratitude for the warm hospitality through both days. Special appreciation was conveyed for the impeccably organised event, transport, the coordinators and thoughtful gestures that added to the experience. The camaraderie in the group and gracious hospitality at Bharda House further enhanced the visit. Encouraged by the enthusiastic response, WZO (India) looks to organise more pilgrimages for members in future.
