Zoroastrian Co-operative Bank Ltd (ZCBL) achieved a landmark milestone by receiving the Special Mention Technology Citation for ‘Best Technology Bank’ at the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) Annual Banking Technology Conference, held on 9^th January, 2026. The prestigious recognition places ZCBL among India’s most forward-looking institutions in technology adoption and innovation.

The award was presented by T. Rabi Sankar, Deputy Governor, RBI, at the Citations Function attended by senior leaders from the banking and financial services sector. The trophy was received by Yazdi B. Tantra, Chairman – ZCBL, and Daljit Dogra, MD and CEO – ZCBL, along with members of the Bank’s IT team who played a pivotal role in this achievement.

Held annually for over two decades, the IBA conference stands among the most respected forums in Indian banking, uniting leaders from banking, regulation and technology. This year drew over 300 nominations, assessed by an independent jury led by Dr. B. Phatak of IIT Mumbai, underscoring the rigour and prestige of the citation.

Speaking to Parsi Times, Chairman Yazdi Tantra described the award as a powerful validation of the Bank’s focused efforts over the past five years. He stated that ZCBL’s strong technology platform has enabled a superior customer experience across delivery channels while maintaining a careful balance between convenience and cyber security. He also highlighted the Bank’s sound financial health, with Zero Net Non-Performing Assets and Gross NPAs below 0.60%, among the best in the industry. He reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to continued investment in people and technology.

MD and CEO – Daljit Dogra underscored the importance of ZCBL’s decision to upgrade to the global-standard Finacle Core Banking Solution by Infosys in May 2022. While the transition came with initial challenges, he noted that the system was stabilised swiftly due to the dedication of the IT team, the adaptability of staff and the strong support of technology partners. Today, over 82% percent of the Bank’s transactions are digital, reflecting changing customer behaviour and the Bank’s readiness for the future.

This national honour marks a proud moment for the Bank and the community. This recognition signals a new chapter for ZCBL, reinforcing its reputation as a progressive institution that blends trust, performance and innovation while setting higher benchmarks for community banking in India.
