Alexandra School Secures State-Level A+ Rating By SQAAF

Mumbai’s Alexandra Girls’ English Institution, has earned the prestigious State-Level SQAAF A+ Grade Rating from SCERT, Pune, under the National Education Policy 2020. This places the 162-year-old institution among Maharashtra’s leading schools, affirming its standards in academics, governance, innovation and student welfare.

SQAAF (School Quality Assessment and Assurance Framework), introduced by the Government of Maharashtra, evaluates schools on key parameters including teaching and learning practices, leadership, administration, student safety, inclusion, parental engagement and preparedness for the future. Securing an A+ grade under this rigorous framework highlights the school’s disciplined environment, transparent systems and commitment to continuous improvement.

Founded by social reformer Manockjee Cursetjee to promote girls’ education at a time when opportunities were limited, the institution continues to uphold its original mission. Today, it blends heritage with a modern outlook by integrating technology-enabled learning, competency-based education and experiential teaching aligned with NEP 2020.

Speaking on the achievement, Principal Kashmira Sarkari said, “This A+ recognition is not just an honour, but a responsibility.
