Ten-year-old Tyra Zubin Contractor made the community proud at the 45^th Goju-Ryu Karate Championship, held on 26^th February, 2026, by winning a gold medal in the Kihon event and a silver medal in the Shadow Shiai category, under the White to Yellow Belt 8 to 10 age group. Guided by 7^th Dan Black Belt Sensei Rajesh Thakkar and supported by BD Somani School Principal Navroz Billimoria, Tyra has now advanced to Orange Belt level. Focused and determined, she aspires to become a black belt soon. Kudos to the young Karateka on her inspiring achievement!
