The WZO Trust Funds hosted its 21^st Academic Prize Distribution Programme on 25^th January, 2026, at Tata Hall, Navsari, celebrating the academic accomplishments of students from Junior KG to postgraduate level. Of the 182 students enrolled, 102 qualified for cash awards, while all applicants received special gifts as a gesture of encouragement.

Renowned performing arts personality and ZWAS Founder – Maharukh Chichgar attended as Chief Guest, alongside her accomplished father – Guest of Honour, Padmashree Yazdi Karanjia. The program commenced with introductions by Hurfiz Deboo, followed by felicitations of the dignitaries and esteemed donor Kersi Aspar.

Welcoming the gathering, Aspi B. Ambapardiwala highlighted the ongoing welfare initiatives of WZO Trusts. In her address, Maharukh Chichgar encouraged students to embrace discipline, respect their parents and teachers, and value education as a sacred journey. Drawing from personal experience, she reminded students that building a strong character requires dedication and perseverance. Yazdi Karanjia inspired the audience with a powerful message on focus and self-belief, stating that dedication remains the key to lasting success.

Outstanding achievers were invited on stage to share their journeys. Dr. Khushnam Hoshang Vandriwala, who completed her MD in Anaesthesiology, urged young students to remain committed to their goals. Newly qualified chartered accountants, Parizad Baldawala and Hanoz Kasad, also impressed the audience with their confident reflections.

The evening continued with lively comedy skits performed by Yazdi Karanjia, Shehzad Karanjia, Farzan Karanjia and their team, bringing laughter and entertainment to the audience. The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Rohinton J. Contractor who conveyed gratitude to all the dignitaries as also Trustees and staff of TATA hall; Hufris Deboo for orating the function, WZO Trusts Chairman – Dinshaw Tamboly and Mrs. Bachi Tamboly for their support; helping hands – Sharmin Tamboly, Simin Bharda, Parvana Vandriwala, Zinobia Ambapardiwala and all volunteers who made the event a huge success. The programme concluded with rendition of the National Anthem.
