Secunderabad’s Zoroastrian Club marked 21^st March, 2026, with a grand Jamshedi Navroz celebration, drawing over 700 attendees. Honouring the Spring Equinox, the event symbolised renewal, hope and the triumph of light, bringing families together in a festive spirit.

A key highlight of the evening was the fashion showcase titled ‘Threads of Fire’, curated by Farah Bhagat and Binifer Mistry. The presentation traced the evolution of Parsi garments from ancient Persia to modern India, with over 80 participants aged 5 to 95 taking part. Narrated by Shezzi Mirza, the showcase captivated audiences, while designer Veera Dhawan added a contemporary dimension with her elegant creations. Singer Zervan Lakdawalla regaled the audience with his melodious voice and performance.

Chief Guest Piruz Khambatta, Chairman and Managing Director of Rasna Group and Hon. Counsel of the Republic of Korea for Gujarat, was felicitated along with wife, Binaisha Khambatta by the Managing Commmittee. He delivered an impactful speech that filled the audience with a deep sense of Parsi pride and motivation. The event also honoured Parsi caterer – Abad Wadia for his decades-long contribution in Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

The presence of many non-Parsi guests reflected growing interest in the community’s culture and traditions. The celebrations concluded with a sumptuous Parsi feast and a collective vote of thanks, leaving attendees with a strong sense of pride and togetherness.
