The Zoroastrian Association of Victoria Inc. (ZAV) hosted a spectacular Jamshedi Navroze celebration, drawing a full house and reaffirming the strength and unity of Victoria’s Zoroastrian community. With the theme ‘Red Carpet Glam’, the evening unfolded in style as guests arrived in elegant attire, setting the tone for a memorable gathering.

The venue welcomed attendees with a beautifully curated Navroze table, conceptualised by Nisha Mistry and Katy Ankleshwaria, enhanced by Iranian tapestry carpets contributed by Vahishta Irani. The display reflected the essence of renewal, prosperity and cultural heritage.

A moment of spiritual grounding was marked by the Humbandagi, led by ZAV’s senior priest, Ervard Keki Madon. The Management Committee felicitated him for his years of dedicated service, a gesture received with deep respect and appreciation.

The evening was smoothly anchored by emcee Dilnaz Billimoria, whose engaging presence kept the audience connected throughout. Guests were treated to an impressive culinary spread by Mamaroti, which proved to be a highlight of the celebration. As the evening progressed, DJ Taran’s music energised the dance floor, while an impromptu operatic performance by Kim Jin Sethna added a unique artistic touch.

Excitement continued with raffle draws and awards for Best Dressed and Best Dancer, bringing cheer and lively participation.

Behind the glamour lay the dedicated efforts of the ZAV Management Committee, whose meticulous planning ensured a seamless event. The celebration stood as a reflection of collective spirit, where tradition, community and joy came together, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
