After four years, the Salsette Welfare Association (SWA) successfully hosted the All Parsis Table Tennis League 2.0 on 4^th and 5^th April, 2026, at Salsette Colony, drawing enthusiastic participation and strong community support. The much-awaited tournament featured eight teams, each comprising six players, with a unique auction format where team owners bid for players using real money.

The league stood out for its remarkable diversity, with participants ranging from 10 to 83 years of age. A notable highlight was the participation of four women players, marking a refreshing shift at the All Parsis level. Young players, especially those in the 10 to 12 age group, impressed spectators by challenging seasoned A-category players with confidence and skill.

The tournament also saw several first-time participants, adding fresh energy and unpredictability to the matches. Close finishes, unexpected upsets and intense rallies kept audiences engaged throughout. However, it was Team ‘Top Spinners’ (Darayas Bhappoo – owner; Frenaz Chipia, Homi Mohta, Pearl Tirandaz, Shezad Langrana, Nozer Amalsadiwala) which emerged victorious, followed by Runners-up ‘Ace Spinners’ (Peshaan Kerawala – owner); and ‘Talisman Titans’ (Bazyan Mistry – owner) in third place.

Supported by associate sponsor WAPIZ, Nippon Mutual Fund and generous donors, the event was executed seamlessly. The efforts of the SWA team and Salsette players ensured a well-organised tournament. The league’s successful return reflects a renewed enthusiasm for community sport and sets a strong precedent for future editions.
