Dear Readers,
Just like that, a quarter of 2026 has already slipped behind us. Time advances with steady inevitability, often unnoticed in the flow of our daily lives, yet subtly reinforcing its lasting significance. Each passing moment invites reflection on how we choose to engage with the present and what we carry forward into the days ahead.
This Sunday, 5th April, marks Easter, a day that celebrates renewal, hope and the triumph of light over darkness. While rooted in Christian belief, its essence finds a natural resonance within Zoroastrianism. Our faith too speaks of renewal, of rising above adversity and of the ultimate victory of goodness. It reminds us that every moment offers the opportunity to begin again, to choose better and to live with intention.
In Zoroastrian thought, time is sacred. We are taught to live in the present, to act with awareness and purpose. The past has served its role and must remain where it belongs. The future will unfold in its own time. What truly belongs to us is the present moment. To respect it is to live fully, think clearly and act wisely.
Speaking of the present, summer has already begun to make its presence felt, with rising heat and increasing humidity. The Indian Meteorological Department has indicated above-normal temperatures from April to June, with the possibility of heatwaves with temperatures that could rise over 38 to 40 degrees. Let’s ensure to take the necessary precautions and look after ourselves in this heat – drink plenty of water, try to stay out of the sun during peak hours, wear light and comfortable clothes, and don’t push yourself too much when it’s really hot. And while we’re at it, let’s not forget our community animals who live on the streets – putting out a simple bowl of water, a little food, or even providing a shaded place to rest can go a long way in making their lives a little easier.
’Coz in the end, it’s the small, mindful choices we make each day that shape the larger journey of our lives and ultimately our destiny. Like they say, ‘small acts, lasting impact’! So, let’s embrace the present with gratitude, kindness and the conviction of caring for ourselves and those around us. In doing so, we honour our faith and the spirit of our community, moving ahead with a sense of hope and purpose.
Have a good weekend!
