The much-anticipated fifth edition of the Zoroastrian Premier League (ZPL) has burst into action at Rustom Baug Grounds from 3^rd April 2026, igniting the community’s passion for football, energy and camaraderie. Set to run till 3^rd May, with thrilling matches every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, starting 8:00 pm onwards, ZPL promises a month of electrifying sport and celebration. From nearly 250 registrations, 150 players have been shortlisted, representing Mumbai, Pune, Surat, Dahanu and international talent from Oman and Dubai. Twelve franchises, led by well-known community names, will compete across an action-packed 100-match league, with a prize pool of Rs. 3,00,000.

The teams (and owners) competing in ZPL 2026 include: Mavericks (Leah Tata); Byculla United (Gilan Ferzandi); Chemould Cavaliers (Adil Gandhy); Persian Pirates (Marzi Pestonji); Storm 11 (Rishad Byramjee); Pink Panthers (Viraf Mehta); Sterling FC (Delna Patel) ); Predators  (Jeshad Dumasia) ; Peekay  Warriors  (Zorben  Zend) ; Lions (Rustom Dehmiri and Shahram M); Kingsmen (Vivaana Chowdhry); and Super Strikers (Khoremand and Aryohn Irani). With an annual franchise fee of Rs. 2,00,000 and an invitation-only ownership model, the league continues to uphold a high standard of participation.

Backed by sponsors WZO and Eric Anklesaria, ZPL has grown into a vibrant community festival. Enhancing the experience is the ZPL mobile app by Neil Carnac, offering live scores, standings and a fantasy league feature.
