The community gathered in large numbers at Mumbai’s iconic and sacred Bhikha Behram Well, on Ava Roj, 21^st May, 2026, to commemorate the performance of the landmark 200^th Ava Roj Humbandagi, marking another inspiring chapter in the community’s tradition of collective prayer, fellowship and unity.

The occasion held added significance as it also coincided with the 13^th Foundation Day of XYZ (Xtremely Young Zoroastrians), an organisation dedicated to nurturing togetherness, service and Zoroastrian values among the younger generation. The evening commenced with a Jashan ceremony at 4:30 pm, performed by XYZ children, seniors and parents. The Jashan was performed by priests: Er. Gian Dastoor, Er. Xavi Dastoor, Er. Xan Engineer, Er. Shayaan Bode, Er. Kaivan Katrak, Er. Bezaan Shroff, Er. Hormaz Fatakia, Er. Aryan Kanga, Er. Anosh Mullan, Er. Kerman Mullan, Er. Eric Dastur, Er. Syamak Dastoor, Er. Nauzer Tarachand and Er. Rukhshad Panthaki.

Over 150 devotees and well-wishers joined the Humbandagi at 5:30 pm, filling the heritage-listed Bhikha Behram Well precinct with warmth, devotion and community spirit.

Speaking on the occasion, Hoshaang Gotla, Founder, XYZ, said, “Seeing our children, seniors and families come together in prayer, fellowship and unity is truly heartwarming. As we celebrated the 200^th Jashan and Hambandagi on Ava Roj alongside XYZ’s 13^th Foundation Day, I felt immense gratitude and pride in the strength of our community. May this beautiful tradition continue to inspire generations to come!” Founded on Ava Roj, Dae Mahino in 2014, XYZ has consistently worked towards strengthening community bonds through prayer, cultural initiatives and service-oriented activities.

Added Mr. Viraf Kapadia, Trustee, dedicated caretaker and devotee of Bhikha Behram Well, since many decades, “I’m delighted that this excellent initiative, taken up by Hoshaang Gotla and Perzon Zend, has succeeded so brilliantly in bringing together our community members every month, in faith, prayer and peace. I believe a community that prays together, stays together. I wish that more organisations take on arranging such community functions across Baugs and Agiaries to further strengthen our unity and bonding as a community.”
