The Alexandra Girls’ English Institution campus buzzed with excitement on 18^th April, 2026, as over 200 participants gathered for the much awaited XYZ Cook-Off. Bringing together Juniors, Kids, Seniors, parents, volunteers and Silvers, the event turned into a lively celebration of culinary creativity and teamwork.

Each group was assigned a unique theme, resulting in a colourful display of imagination. The youngest participants, the XYZ Juniors, delighted all with their artistic biscuit decorations, proving that creativity begins early. The XYZ Kids took on a bigger challenge, preparing a complete meal with a drink, entrée and dessert based on their group colours. Twenty-seven teams presented visually striking dishes that reflected thought and flair, crafted to match their themes.

Parents and volunteers added a magical touch with fairy tale inspired creations including a Hansel and Gretel sweet house to a towering Princess and the Pea sandwich, and a delicate ballet shoe inspired by The Shoemaker and the Elf. From intricate edible houses to imaginative themed dishes, their presentations stood out for detail and originality. The XYZ Seniors impressed with inventive sponge-cake based desserts, including a creative twist on paani puri that won wide appreciation from the judges. The XYZ Silvers brought nostalgia and innovation together with their take on Gutli Pav, transforming it into a variety of flavourful treats.

After a spirited display of culinary talent, Tehmurasp’s Titans emerged as the overall winners, proudly taking home the Cook-Off 2026 Trophy. The event concluded amidst much celebration of community, creativity and the joy of coming together across generations.
