Despite heavy storms and strong winds sweeping through the region on 31^st May, 2026, over 80 members of the Zoroastrian Association of Western Australia (ZAWA) gathered for a memorable Dae Mahino Jashan that celebrated faith, unity and community spirit.

Commencing at 4:00pm, the Jashan was performed by Er. Aspi Madan, Er. Aspi Billia and Er. Yazad Mithaiwala, following which devotees enjoyed delicious chasni and choi. ZAWA’s dynamic Chairperson, Firoz Pestonji shared ZAWA’s history for the benefit of younger community members. The event was also attended by local MLA Shayaz Mubarakai, who praised the strength and unity of the community while expressing support for the vision of establishing a dedicated community hall.

A traditional dinner, sponsored by Er. Aspi Madan in memory of his late wife, Farida, was prepared through the collective efforts of numerous volunteers and culinary enthusiasts whose teamwork and dedication exemplified the spirit of service that defines the community. Kudos also to the tireless efforts of committee members, volunteers and supporters working behind the scenes, transforming a stormy day into a heartwarming celebration of devotion and community camaraderie, leaving all awaiting ZAWA’s next gathering.
