The Sethna’s 18th West Mumbai Scout Group held an exciting monsoon trek to Madap Waterfall on 19th July, 2026, with 43 participants, ranging from age 6 to 81 years, for a memorable day of outdoor exploration, teamwork and fun.
The adventure began with a warm welcome and breakfast from the villagers at the base village. A heavy monsoon shower added much thrill as the Scouts and Cubs set out along the scenic trail, spotting freshwater crabs, snakes and the region’s lush greenery. The day’s highlights was crossing a fast-flowing stream using the safety rope technique. Guided by experienced Scouters and Rovers, every participant successfully negotiated the challenging terrain to reach the spectacular Madap Waterfall for a refreshing break.
Games of football and tug-of-war added to the fun before the group enjoyed a delicious traditional Maharashtrian meal. The Scouters and Rovers ensured a safe and enjoyable trek for everyone. The outing concluded with unforgettable memories, stronger friendships and the true spirit of scouting.
