Celebrating over 140 years of enterprise and tradition, Navsari’s Rustomji Edalji Kolah Co. was conferred the prestigious Legacy Award by the Navsari Management Association at its ‘Our Town, Our Pride’ ceremony, held at Anavil Sanskar Trust Hall, on 23rd August, 2026. The award was presented by Mayor Ashok Dhorajia.
The Legacy Award recognises iconic local organisations that have contributed to Navsari’s history, trust and community for over 50 years. Rustomji Edalji Kolah Co. was recognised for its honest pricing, hygienic manufacturing practices, customer-focused approach, product quality and export orientation. Today, the enterprise is headed by proprietor Edal Rustomji Kolah, supported by his son, Vistasp. The family legacy has entered another generation with Vistasp’s son, Vismeher, a B.Tech graduate in Food Processing Technology, recently joining the business.
Established in 1885, the renowned Parsi enterprise has grown across five generations while preserving its reputation for quality and authenticity. The ISO-certified company is celebrated for its brewed sugarcane vinegar, or ‘sarko’, an essential ingredient in Parsi cuisine, alongside its pickles, spices, Parsi masalas, mango pulp and traditional ice creams.
From a Navsari enterprise established in 1885 to an enduring name in Parsi kitchens, the Kolah legacy continues to blend tradition with enterprise, carrying a cherished community flavour proudly into the future.
