India-Windies Draw In Second ODI: Indian skipper Virat Kohli became the fastest to reach 10,000 runs in ODI cricket but it was Shai Hope’s gutsy century that helped the West Indies reach the line, as the second ODI at Visakhapatnam ended in a nail biting tie. Batting first, India posted in 50 overs, courtesy Man of the Match, Virat Kohli’s 157. In reply, the Windies were reduced to 78-3 in 11.6 overs but Shai Hope kept the score board ticking as he notched up 123 in 134 balls. The match went down to the last ball and scores were equal with 321-7 in 50 overs. The series remains alive as India are still up with a 1-0 lead.
Mumbai Wins Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018-19: Mighty Mumbai were the stronger side in the Vijay Hazare tournament, remaining unbeaten all through. During the finals, great batting by Man of the Match, Aditya Tare (71) and Siddhesh Lad (48) coupled with super bowling from speedster Dhawal Kulkarni (3-30) and Shivam Dubey (3-29), helped Mumbai beat Delhi by four wickets in Bengaluru. Delhi made 177 in 45.4 overs, crumbling under the pressure of Dhawal and Shivam’s bowling strengths. Mumbai were initially reeling at 40-4 in 7.4 overs, but then Aditya and Siddhesh notched up a 105 runs partnership, cruising Mumbai to a victory finish with 180-6 in 35 overs. Mumbai skipper Shreyas Iyer and Co were crowned champions of the limited overs format.
