IASAP Celebrates Administrative Professionals Day

The Indian Association of Secretaries and Administrative Professionals (IASAP) celebrated ‘Administrative Professionals Day’, on 22nd April, 2023, at a venue in South Mumbai. President Kashmira Gamadia gave the welcome note introducing the keynote speaker for the occasion – Dr Adil Malia, Business Coach, Thought Leader and CEO of ‘The Firm’ commanding over four decades of Corporate management expertise in India and overseas; and also BPP Trustee.

In his motivational speech, Dr. Malia spoke about Artificial Intelligence and how knowledge outdated itself at break-neck speed, as also the need to run ‘double fast’ to keep pace with change. He shared that it was preferable for people to actively work towards improvising and rejuvenating their skills and collaborating with others to emerge winners. He emphasized on embracing the ‘Art To Be A Learner’ as that guaranteed success.

A drawing competition with the theme, ‘Save Our Earth’, marking ‘Earth Day’, was organized by the President and Governing Council Members – Vijayalaxmi Amin, Binaifer Daruwala, Rashne Ardesher, Joan Lobo and Hanisha Vazirani. Dr. Malia judged the same and picked the winners, awarding the top prize to Shernaz Kapadia, followed by Flavy D’Souza, Sharon Lobo and Meher Panthaki. This was followed by a fun round of Housie with an innovative twist enjoyed thoroughly by all. Past President Veera Mundroina proposed the vote of thanks.

Established in 1970 to represent lady secretaries in the corporate world, IASAP was founded by Homai and Homi Mehta, with the support of Sir J J College of Commerce, Mumbai. IASAP has six chapters across India (Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal). Its members and leaders have worked sincerely and contributed towards its growth over the years, to ensure carrying forward the noble legacy of Homai Mehta who was the guiding force and visionary of this initiative.
