This year’s Cusrow Baug United Sports & Welfare League’s (CBUSWL) Badminton Tournament witnessed a record number of 94 participants, displaying their talent with gusto and vigour in 20 different events with seven to eight games played daily, over 3
weeks.
The finals were held on 10th September, 2016, with Chief Guest Adille Sumariwalla felicitating the winners and sharing his experience, giving insights into what it takes to get to the top. Kareena Madan was felicitated for her performances at the District and State level tournaments, while Ness Buhariwala was adjudged the ‘Best Player of the Tournament’.
Sponsors Mr. and Mrs. Hoshang Jal have been dedicated to promoting sports amongst the youth and are an encouragement to CBUSWL. A commendable job done by the organizers of CBUSWL, speaking with Parsi Times, an organiser said, “Not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love!”
