Kudos Zuleika Homavazir!

On 15th February, 2017, Zuleika Homavazir was awarded ‘The Best Educationist Award’ by IIEM, and ‘The National Mahila Rattan Gold Medal Award’ by The Solidarity Council of India in New Delhi. The awards were presented along with a ‘Certificate of Education Excellence’. On 18th February, 2017, she will also be awarded with The Education Leadership Award for ‘The Best Professor in Management’ by BBC Knowledge in Mumbai. Dr. Zuleika Homavazir is best known for her bold initiatives and efforts to spread awareness about social issues by involving the young generation across colleges in Mumbai. She is the Board Member of the Terry Fox (India Committee) and contributes monetary help for cancer research and cure every year. Besides, she is the Founder of ‘HOPE’ (Help Our People Elevate), a philanthropic event anticipated across all Institutions in Mumbai which is directed towards upbringing of the underprivileged in society.

A professor of Management Studies (BMS) at Wilson College since the past nine years, Zulieka has been recognized for her contribution towards modernizing and revitalizing the existing regime at the institution as well as for her involvement with various NGOs for innumerable social causes. Under her leadership the Department of Management Studies of Wilson College has been ranked 4th best in the country and 2nd best in Mumbai (India Today, June 2012).
