The Alexandra Girls’ English Institution, which provides walk-in admissions for Parsi minority in all classes, under the able leadership of Principal Freny Mehta, has achieved complete success by securing 100% of its students passing in the SSC exams, 2016.
From the total of 77 students, all of who secured a First Class and above, 29 students scored over 90% and 40 students got Distinction. Krisha Dedhia topped her school with a whopping 95%. Parsi children who scored exceptionally include Farah Meher Homji (92.2%); Frenaz Mobedji (91.4%) and Farinaz Wadia (81.2%). All three girls are known to be multi-talented, having excelled in several competitions like debates, drama, elocution, quiz, rangoli and music.
The 153-year-old Parsi-managed school focuses on all its students excelling academically and on their holistic growth.The parents of weak children are called regularly and multi-papers are given to enhance scores. Moreover, the excellent overall education offered by the school should be leveraged by all Parsi parents.
The dynamic Hoshaang Gotla, who recently got on board as the school’s Director, said, “It’s an absolute honour to be associated as a Director of this school. The results have been fantastic and I’m sure all the students of Alexandra will get into great colleges and become future greats and give back to society in many ways.”
