Homavazir’s 11th CBDA Scout group held its annual ‘Parent’s Day’ on 12th February, 2017 at the JB Vachha High School, Dadar, with Navroz Siganporia as their Chief Guest, who was presented an impressive Guard of Honour by the cubs and scouts. The programme commenced with the cub and scout prayer song and flag break, followed by a tug of war match between two scout patrols. Siganporia, himself a Rover scout leader of 16th East Bombay Scout Group, was felicitated with floral tributes and stressed about the importance of obedience, discipline and scouting in one’s life. Cub Mazda Bharucha welcomed all to the event and Scout Kayan Irani shared the group’s 2016 annual report.

Cubs Farsheed Jalnawalla and Yazan Bulsara recited their prize winning poems, and elocution competition winner, Scout Kaiwaan Dalal, showcased his oratory skills. The Chief Guest felicitated Scouter Arzan Godrej, who recently procured a scout master’s warrant. Parents participated in fun quizzes on nursery rhymes. The finale of comprised cubs Darayus Daji, Phezan Motafaram, Yohan Fatakia and Mazda Bharucha, climb a 30 foot tall rope ladder, followed by a rappelling demo. The event concluded with a final yell, followed by refreshments and a vote of thanks for the efforts of Scouters Arzan Godrej, Jimmy Pardiwalla, Cyrus Bharucha, Cyrus Irani and Group Leader Zubin Bhumgara, and to the parents who generously donated medals and trophies.
