Zyra Wows The World!

At the young age of eleven, Zyra Irani, studying at Mumbai’s Villa Theresa High School, has done the community and the nation proud, with her sheer dedication and hard work in honing her skills which helped her emerge the winner at a multi-talented globally recognised competition, ‘The World Scholars Cup’. After three rounds of participation in India, Thailand and finally at Yale University (USA), Zyra came out on top, beating over 3500 students from 376 schools and 50 countries! Not only did she win multiple medals and awards in each round, she even won the gold medal in the ‘Da Vinci’ category (Thailand) in Art, Music and Debate categories, before going on to clinch the Top Champion Scholar Award from the prestigious Yale University. Zara came out the winner from amongst the top 10% of the total number of students that participated!

Parsi Times congratulates Zara for this exemplary achievement, thanks to the support from her mentor, Rinky Maini (Shalon International High School, Gurgaon); her school and her very proud parents, Kaizeen and Arzooman Irani, who collectively encouraged her in maxing this challenge.
