Malcolm Baug held its 25th Gahambar/Food-Fest organized by the residents of Malcolm Baug on 26th January 2017. In this unique yearly tradition, the residents are the volunteers themselves who cook Mutton Dhansak and serve it at Malcolm Hall to all those who attend the festival. A record turnout of 475 attendees showed up this year. The food management is ably done by Homai Katrak and the event was compared as always, by Khushru Kapadia who entertained all with his wit.

The function started with the rendition of the National Anthem followed by games and giving thanks to those work to make the event a success. Next, scholarships were awarded for academic excellence by the Pinaz Xerxes Master Foundation and given away by Aiyesha Perbhoo to Dianne Umrigar (HSC), Natasha Vaid (SSC), Jehan Nicholson (Graduation in Nuclear Science Gold Medalist) and Mazdiyar Mevawalla (PG in Family Mgmt Business). This was followed by a delightful Humbandagi followed by the sumptuous dinner prepared by the enthusiastic volunteers!
