Lions Club of Bombay (Queensway) District 3231 A1, organized two projects at Umang Village, Karjat, which includes donating a folding power wheel chair and a manual wheel chair at a discounted cost through World Children Welfare Trust India, to two differently abled children suffering from Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy with intellectual and speech disability, and Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy with mental disabilities. In another initiative, a tailoring unit was set up for rural girls and women, through Light of Life Trust at Jeevan Asha Community Centre, Tiware Village, Karjat, where twelve sewing machines with accessories were donated.
