Dear Readers,
For many of us, ‘Change’ is a big, bad word. We’re creatures of habit. Change is inconvenient, scary even. But change is growth, and as the saying goes, ‘there’s no growth in the comfort zone, and there’s no comfort in the growth zone’. The most challenging of all changes to imbibe, is a change in mindset.
Change is inevitable but it doesn’t have to be difficult if we keep an open mind and are willing to be led by rationale. While the intelligent embrace change, the cynics adapt to it grudgingly, and the dissenters are left with anguish and sour faces.
For a community as minuscule as ours, unity plays an indispensable role in all our battles – be it related to identity or longevity. ‘Unity’ is as much our savior and solution, as ‘divisiveness’ is our nemesis, and both are consequences of our mindsets. It is therefore incumbent upon us to approach our differences with a renewed mindset, one that takes into account the changes we need to address and respond to, so that we cultivate greater unity.
This will hold us in good stead on all fronts – personal, professional and social. Clamming up in the face of change is not the solution. Facing the change intelligently is. So, the next time you’re faced with a situation that calls for change, don’t change the face, face the change!
Have a good weekend!

Dear Editor,
Congratulations, on your raking up the subject of “Change”.
If it weren’t for change we’d still be going drawn in a squeaking bullock- cart at 4 miles an hour.
