Established on 19th August, 2009, the Zoroastrian Trust Funds of India (ZTFI), our community’s leading non-profit organisation, dedicated to supporting and uplifting the less fortunate community members, completed thirteen years, amid much smiles, blessings and best wishes from donors, beneficiaries and community members alike.
Living up to its motto, ‘Community First’, ZTFI has been working tirelessly for the Parsi Community making a difference and adding value to innumerable community members. Spearheaded by Yasmin Mistry and Arnavaz Mistry, Team ZTFI comprises a team of dedicated volunteers who endeavour to bring smiles to the underprivileged by supporting them through all their needs – material and emotional.
The most popular and awaited program for the beneficiaries is the monthly ‘Feed-A-Family’ programme, where in addition to providing monthly rations, entertainment programmes are scheduled to boost the morale and help the beneficiaries socialize. These include Birthday celebrations, singing and dancing, games, fulfilling the wish-list of essential items, etc.
Various other activities carried out by ZTFI include ‘Not so young, not so old’ entertainment for seniors, field trips to religious places, Ghambars, ZAAN (Zoroastrian Achievers Award’s Night), organising matrimonial platforms like ‘Soul Mate’, organising Navjote ceremonies, helping towards educational and medical expenses, providing doles, and much more! Age is no bar and the enthusiasm levels, the Parsi-Panu, the positivity truly make the hearts smile!
Speaking to Parsi Times, the dynamic Yasmin Mistry, the trailblazing Trustee at ZTFI, said, “We sincerely thank everyone for their support and especially our donors for their continued faith in us. The joy one experiences, when giving to others, is unparalleled – be it your time, your efforts or resources. It has been my privilege to have served our community for thirteen years through our various initiatives at ZTFI, and I plan to continue doing so, with even greater zeal! I hope that in this New Year, more community members will come forward and share their happiness with those who aren’t as fortunate.”
