Girton High School, a Parsi institution established in 1888, has been championing the education of the girl child since the last 135 years.

Of the several leading SSC as well as ICSE schools from Mumbai and Thane, which participated in the inter-school debate competition recently conducted by YMCA, Girton School student, Grishma Nishad won the ‘Best Individual Debater Award’, under the guidance of her teacher – Zeeya Kapadia. She received the Rao Bahadur Athavale Trophy and a cash prize. The topic of the debate was to speak against British laws being adequate to deliver justice in India.
