On 20^th January, 2024, the Alexandra Girls’ English Institution’s ‘Alexandra Alumni Association’ held an alumni meeting attended by nearly 200 alumni alongside current and ex-staff. It turned out to be an exciting and nostalgic evening with some students coming in from even the 1966 batch, alongside their much-cherished teachers including ex-Principals, Freny Mehta, Farrah Gustaspi and ex-Vice Principal, Master.

Current Principal – Kashmira Sarkari, herself an alumnus of the school, stated, “I only want to give back to the school and the staff what they had given me as a child – love, encouragement and a heart full of gratitude.” A short presentation made by ex-head girl Jasmine Chaina captured the essence of the evening, as archived photographs turned into a touching walk down memory lane.

Many current teachers were also present to reconnect with ex-colleagues and ex-students. Zubin Billimoria, of Billimoria and Associates, was welcomed as the newly appointed Board Director. The eve made for much entertainment comprising a short quiz on the school’s history, a karaoke session and dinner where young and old bonded. The evening ended with the school song and more memories to cherish for life!
