Committed to the cause of stabilizing the population figures and stemming the rapid decline, Team Jiyo Parsi has been doing its bit relentlessly and effectively. Every passing month heralds a steady growth in the number of babies born through its medical assistance and advocacy events – with more than eighty-nine little bundles of joy gracing our community, thanks to various activities undertaken and platforms participated in, to progress its cause.

There is also a steady increase in the number of young couples becoming a part of the programme. At the recently held ZTFI function and the WAPIZ sale at Cama Baug, a help-desk was set up which saw many people sharing their success stories with IVF treatments. Insomuch, Jiyo Parsi is soon becoming a Commnity Movement! In February, the ‘Valentine Month’, yet another fun evening for couples was organised at Captain Colony, Tardeo, with young, as well as the young-at-heart couples, gathering for fun, laughter and games. Heart shaped chocolates, snacks and games were enjoyed by everybody, thanks to the collective efforts of Jasmine Sahukar, Rayomand Sabawala and united  team of the Captain Colony Welfare Association.

Counsellor Binaifer Sahukar conducted a workshop at Dadar Athornan Madresa on Study Skills and Team Building where 20 students of Madresa learnt about team building, time management and tips to study better. A discussion with the students on why the community’s numbers are dwindling and the pros and cons of having a sibling versus being a single child, was followed with tasty snacks and drinks. Kudos to the efforts taken by Jiyo Parsi in bringing together community members to proactively work towards arresting the decline in our population.
